Kate and Joe - Southwest Iowa Winter Engagement Session

Tuesday, March 03, 2020 | By: Debbie Larson

Winters in Iowa are usually pretty cold and snowy.  But if you really know Midwest weather, it is up and down at the drop of a hat.  I consider us very lucky this day in February!  It was perfectly warm but we still had some snow for some wonderful winter sunset pictures.

Kate contacted me earlier in the week to see if I could capture an engagement session for her and Joe.  I haven't done very many of these sessions so I was thrilled!

Just LOOK at these two! So cute, so fun...LOVE <3

Lighting really is the key to different styles of photos.  It was getting dark pretty fast so I broke out my lighting equipment.  As the sun went down we kept shooting for just a few more images.  These are totally different than those glowing sunset pictures,  but still wonderful just the same.
